What This Skill Does
Controls Bambu Lab 3D printers (A1, P1P, X1, X1C) over MQTT in the local network. Supports print monitoring, status and temperature queries, remote control (pause, resume, stop), and notifications when a print finishes or an error occurs. The printer must be running in LAN Mode.
Gives direct local-network control over Bambu Lab printers without cloud access or the official app, operating entirely over MQTT.
When to use it
- Check print progress percentage from another room
- Pause or stop a running print remotely
- Monitor nozzle, bed, and chamber temperatures during a job
- Get a Telegram notification when a long print finishes
- Toggle printer lights or adjust fan speed without going to the machine
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What's the current status of my print?
- 1Connect to the printer at the configured IP via MQTT over TLS
- 2Query current print status and progress percentage
- 3Retrieve temperature readings for nozzle, bed, and chamber
- 4Return a formatted status summary
Print is 73% complete. Nozzle: 215°C, Bed: 65°C, Chamber: 40°C.
