What This Skill Does
CodeBuddy Code is Tencent's AI-powered CLI assistant for programming tasks in the terminal. It accepts natural language prompts to generate code, write tests, and review commits. Login options include Google or GitHub for international access (Gemini, GPT models) and WeChat for China-region access (DeepSeek models).
It provides region-specific model access in a single CLI, supporting both international (Gemini, GPT) and China-region (DeepSeek via WeChat) users without separate tooling.
When to use it
- Generating unit tests for an existing API
- Optimizing a slow function via a natural language prompt
- Reviewing code quality before committing changes
- Running automated code tasks in a sandboxed CI environment
- Initializing a CODEBUDDY.md project guide for team onboarding
