What This Skill Does
porteden is a CLI tool for managing calendar events and emails across Gmail, Outlook, and Exchange accounts. It supports listing, searching, creating, updating, and deleting events and messages, with AI-optimized JSON output via the -jc flag. Credentials are stored in the system keyring after a one-time login.
Handles Gmail, Outlook, and Exchange through one CLI with a consistent command interface, so agents do not need separate SDKs or browser sessions per provider.
When to use it
- Check today's meetings before a workday starts
- Schedule a team meeting with multiple attendees from the terminal
- Find all unread emails from a specific sender this week
- Reply to or forward an email thread without opening a browser
- Respond to a calendar invite as accepted, declined, or tentative
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What meetings do I have today, and are there unread emails about any of them?
- 1Run porteden calendar events --today -jc to fetch today's events
- 2Extract meeting summaries and attendee lists from the JSON output
- 3Run porteden email messages --unread --today -jc to fetch unread emails
- 4Match email subjects against meeting titles to find related threads
- 5Return a combined summary of meetings and linked unread emails
A list of today's scheduled meetings with times and attendees, plus any unread emails whose subjects reference those meetings
