npx clawhub install opdscli

What This Skill Does

opdscli browses, searches, and downloads ebooks from OPDS catalog servers via the command line. It supports multiple catalogs with basic auth or bearer token authentication. All catalog config is managed through subcommands stored in ~/.config/opdscli.yaml.

A CLI approach enables scripting and headless ebook retrieval without running a full GUI ebook manager like Calibre.

When to use it

  • Downloading a specific book from Project Gutenberg without opening a browser
  • Searching a private library's OPDS catalog for titles by author
  • Browsing the 50 latest additions to a self-hosted ebook server
  • Managing multiple OPDS catalog endpoints from a single config
  • Downloading books in PDF format to a chosen local directory
