Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Validates OpenClaw configuration fields against the official Zod schema for openclaw.json. Automatically detects the local OpenClaw version and downloads the matching schema from GitHub. Covers 136+ fields across agents, channels, tools, logging, and session configuration.
Auto-syncs the schema to the installed OpenClaw version, so validation always runs against the correct field definitions rather than a static or outdated reference.
When to use it
- Check if a field path exists before editing openclaw.json
- Debug config errors caused by invalid or misspelled fields
- Validate all fields in a config file after a version upgrade
- Look up the expected type or format for a specific field
- Confirm a migrated config is fully schema-compliant
