Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Automates daily backups of OpenClaw configuration and workspace files to Google Drive using rClone. Maintains a rolling 20-day history with automatic rotation, checksums for integrity verification, and optional end-to-end encryption.
Using rClone's sync with backup-dir preserves versioned snapshots without duplicating unchanged files, making it more storage-efficient than naive full-copy scripts.
When to use it
- Restoring a deleted workspace file from a specific past date
- Recovering full OpenClaw config after a system failure
- Running nightly scheduled backups without manual intervention
- Checking storage usage across the last 20 backup snapshots
- Verifying backup integrity before a major system upgrade
