Fix: Clean clawhub lock.json on uninstall so skill is properly deregistered
What This Skill Does
Manages multiple AI assistant personalities within the OpenClaw workspace, each defined by a SOUL.md and IDENTITY.md file. Switching between personalities is atomic, with automatic backup and rollback if any step fails. The active personality persists across session restarts and conversation compacting via heartbeat restoration.
Atomic switching with automatic rollback prevents corrupted or half-applied personality states that manual SOUL.md and IDENTITY.md edits would risk.
When to use it
- Switching between a formal coding assistant and a casual brainstorming persona
- Creating a character-specific persona for roleplay or creative writing sessions
- Experimenting with new AI personas without risking the current configuration
- Maintaining separate work and personal assistant personalities
- Reverting to a stable default personality after testing experimental configurations
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

- 2Generate SOUL.md with core philosophy, voice patterns, and signature behaviors
- 3Generate IDENTITY.md with name, emoji, vibe, catchphrase, and quick traits
- 4Save both files to ~/.openclaw/workspace/personalities/ironforge/
- 5Confirm the personality is ready and provide the activation command
Personality 'ironforge' created in personalities/ironforge/. Activate with /personality ironforge
