What This Skill Does
Submits address documents to the Didit API for verification. Accepts utility bills, bank statements, government-issued documents, leases, and similar files up to 15MB. Returns extracted address fields, geocoded coordinates, document classification, and a verification status.
Combines OCR extraction, name matching, geocoding, date validation, and tamper detection in a single API call, replacing the need to chain multiple document processing services.
When to use it
- Verifying a tenant's utility bill during rental onboarding
- Confirming residential address as part of KYC for a financial account
- Extracting structured address data from scanned government letters
- Validating bank statements for proof of address during user signup
- Matching address documents against a previously verified identity
