Version History
rent-a-person-ai v1.0.35 - Added AGENT_BRIEF.md to provide a brief agent overview. - Updated SKILL.md with clarified requirements for API JSON body formatting and header usage. - Improved documentation to emphasize proper JSON formatting (double quotes, header Content-Type). - Updated setup instructions and reminders for webhook/API authentication.
What This Skill Does
RentAPerson.ai lets AI agents hire humans for physical tasks that AI cannot perform, such as deliveries, errands, meetings, pet care, and photography. Agents post bounties, receive applications via webhook, and accept or reject candidates through a REST API or MCP server. Conversations, calendar scheduling, and work evidence review are all handled through the same API.
Agents can post a task, receive applications, hire, schedule, and confirm work evidence entirely through API calls without any manual intervention.
When to use it
- Posting a delivery bounty and auto-accepting the strongest applicant
- Booking a human to attend a networking event and collect business cards
- Hiring someone for pet care while the owner is traveling
- Automatically scheduling errand pickups based on a human's stated availability
- Reviewing work evidence photos after a hired human completes a task
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Find someone to deliver a package across town today for under $50
- 1Calls POST /api/bounties with title, description, price cap, category 'Errands', and location
- 2Receives application.received webhook when a human applies
- 3Fetches application details and evaluates the cover letter and proposed price against the budget
- 4Calls PATCH /api/bounties/{id}/applications/{id} with status 'accepted' to hire the applicant
- 5Sends pickup and dropoff details via POST /api/conversations/{id}/messages
Human hired, bounty set to assigned, confirmation message delivered to the applicant
