What This Skill Does
Hybrid semantic and keyword email search across a user's Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP inbox via the iGPT API. Queries are scoped per user and results are ranked by relevance, covering the full indexed email history. Retrieval only — for summarization or structured extraction, use the companion igpt-email-ask skill.
Semantic vector search finds conceptually related emails even when exact keywords don't appear, and works across Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP simultaneously rather than being locked to one provider.
When to use it
- Find emails about a project when you can't recall exact subject lines
- Pull all correspondence with a contact before a meeting
- Retrieve invoices or receipts from a specific quarter
- Check what was agreed in past threads before drafting a reply
- Locate emails mentioning deadlines across a bounded date range
