What This Skill Does
Queries iGPT's recall/search endpoint to find emails and threads across a user's Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP inbox using hybrid semantic and keyword retrieval. Returns results ranked by relevance with support for date range filtering and attachment references. Retrieval only. For reasoning, summarization, or structured extraction, use the companion skill igpt-email-ask.
Unlike Gmail or Outlook's native search, which is keyword-only and often capped at 90 days of history, this skill uses semantic vector search to find conceptually related emails across a user's full indexed inbox history.
When to use it
- Finding emails about a project using natural language instead of exact keywords
- Locating contract negotiation threads from a specific date range
- Retrieving all correspondence from a contact before a meeting
- Searching across Gmail and Outlook inboxes in a single query
- Pulling relevant email threads as context for a downstream analysis step
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
