What This Skill Does
Uploads and publishes video content to YouTube through the Publora API. Handles scheduling, privacy settings (public, unlisted, private), and metadata via a three-step create-post, get-upload-url, and S3 upload flow.
Lets you schedule and upload YouTube videos programmatically without touching YouTube Studio, making it suitable for automated publishing pipelines.
When to use it
- Schedule a tutorial video to go live at a specific time
- Upload product demos with unlisted privacy before a launch
- Automate weekly video publishing without manual YouTube Studio uploads
- Set video descriptions and privacy settings from code or CI pipelines
- Publish YouTube Shorts by uploading short portrait-orientation clips
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Upload tutorial.mp4 and schedule it to go live tomorrow at 3 PM UTC on my YouTube channel
- 1Create a post via POST /create-post with the video description, YouTube channel platform ID, and scheduled time
- 2Request an upload URL via POST /get-upload-url using the returned postGroupId and video file metadata
- 3Upload the video file bytes to the S3 presigned URL with a PUT request
- 4Confirm the scheduled post group ID from the initial response
