What This Skill Does

Fetches the current latitude and longitude of the International Space Station using the Open Notify public API. Returns live coordinates with a single terminal command.

No API key or account required — the Open Notify endpoint is public and returns results instantly.

When to use it

  • Checking ISS position before a stargazing session
  • Verifying if the ISS is currently overhead your city
  • Logging ISS coordinates at timed intervals for a tracking dataset
  • Answering a quick "where is the ISS right now" question
  • Feeding live ISS position into a map or visualization tool
