What This Skill Does
Searches podcast transcripts using semantic search via the PodSips API. Returns matching chunks with speaker names, timestamps, and episode metadata. Full transcripts and contextual lookups around specific timestamps are also available.
Semantic search across indexed transcripts lets you locate specific statements in audio without manually scrubbing through episodes.
When to use it
- Finding what a specific guest said on a podcast
- Researching a topic across multiple podcast episodes
- Pulling a full transcript for summarization or analysis
- Citing a specific podcast moment with speaker and timestamp
- Checking whether a podcast series exists in the PodSips database
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: What has been said about AGI timelines on tech podcasts?
- 1Calls the search endpoint with query 'AGI timelines'
- 2Parses grouped results by episode, extracting chunk text and speaker names
- 3Replaces raw speaker tags with resolved identities from the speakers array
- 4Fetches transcript context around the most relevant timestamp for additional detail
- 5Presents excerpts with episode name, series name, speaker, and timestamp
A set of transcript excerpts from matching episodes, each attributed to a speaker with episode name and timestamp for verification
