What This Skill Does

Analyzes US stocks and cryptocurrencies using Yahoo Finance data with an 8-dimension scoring system. Covers portfolio tracking, watchlists with price and signal alerts, dividend safety analysis, trending stock and crypto detection, and early-signal rumor scanning for M&A activity, insider trades, and analyst actions.

Combines fundamental analysis, social sentiment, insider activity, and viral trend detection in one CLI tool without requiring a paid financial data subscription.

When to use it

  • Checking a stock's earnings surprise score before entering a position
  • Setting stop-loss and price-target alerts on watchlist holdings
  • Scanning for trending crypto before the US market opens
  • Comparing dividend yield and payout safety across income stocks
  • Finding M&A rumors and insider buying before they reach mainstream news

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Analyze AAPL and alert me if it hits $200

AGENT
  1. 1Runs analyze_stock.py AAPL to fetch Yahoo Finance data and compute the 8-dimension score
  2. 2Displays earnings surprise, fundamentals, analyst sentiment, momentum, and active risk flags
  3. 3Runs watchlist.py add AAPL --target 200 to register the price alert
  4. 4On next check, watchlist.py check reports whether the price has reached or exceeded $200
OUTPUT

Full stock scorecard for AAPL with BUY/HOLD/SELL signal, plus an active price-target alert stored in the watchlist
