What This Skill Does

Handles mobile app development end-to-end, from requirements and architecture through debugging and release preparation. Works cross-platform (iOS and Android) by default, with React Native, Expo, and TypeScript as the default stack. Covers greenfield apps, feature additions, bugfixes, refactors, and release hardening.

Enforces incremental, verifiable delivery with explicit quality and release checklists, rather than producing large unverified rewrites.

When to use it

  • Scaffolding a new Expo app with navigation and a typed API client
  • Adding a new screen to an existing React Native project
  • Debugging an Android-only crash with clear reproduction steps
  • Preparing an iOS build for App Store submission
  • Improving scroll performance in a heavy list screen

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Add a user profile screen to my Expo app

AGENT
  1. 1Clarify scope: confirm auth source, required data fields, and navigation entry point
  2. 2Detect project mode as feature addition and identify impacted screens and state
  3. 3Plan smallest implementation slice: screen component, data hook, and nav update
  4. 4Implement profile screen with loading, empty, and error states and accessibility labels
  5. 5Run typecheck, lint, and relevant tests, then report outcomes and remaining risks
OUTPUT

Profile screen integrated into existing navigation with a typed data hook, all UI states handled, and passing lint and typecheck
