Setup & Installation
Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
A configurable HTTP service that exposes an OpenClaw bot's runtime status as JSON. Reports bot health, context usage, cron job state, installed skills, service connectivity, and system metrics. Runs with zero npm dependencies using Node.js built-ins only.
Zero npm dependencies means no install step, no lockfile churn, and no version conflicts that come with typical monitoring stacks.
When to use it
- Checking bot uptime from a monitoring dashboard
- Verifying external service health before a deployment
- Viewing active cron jobs without opening config files
- Tracking CPU and RAM usage during heavy agent workloads
- Building a status page for a self-hosted OpenClaw agent
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Is my bot and its connected services healthy right now?
- 1Start the status server with `node server.js`
- 2Read config.json to load service definitions, workspace paths, and cache settings
- 3Run all configured health checks (HTTP, command, file-exists) in parallel
- 4Serve the aggregated result from cache at GET /status
- 5Return a JSON object with bot vitals, service statuses, cron jobs, skills list, and system metrics
JSON response containing uptime, context percent used, per-service health status, cron job list, installed skills, and CPU/RAM/disk readings
