What This Skill Does
An AI research agent that conducts structured academic literature searches on any topic. It queries Google Scholar, reads source URLs, and synthesizes findings into a formatted report with inline citations. The agent follows a fixed three-phase workflow: breadth search, focused iteration, and report synthesis.
It replaces the manual loop of searching, reading, and note-taking by running parallel searches, scraping source documents, and writing a cited report in one automated pass.
When to use it
- Compiling background literature for a thesis or research proposal
- Verifying whether a named model or product has published academic coverage
- Building a timeline of key papers in a technical field
- Researching a new AI technique before a technical presentation
- Generating a cited reference list on a narrow scientific topic
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Research recent papers on diffusion models in medical imaging
- 1Formulates 3-5 search angles covering review papers, key techniques, and recent developments
- 2Runs parallel Google Scholar searches and logs titles, abstracts, and source URLs
- 3Selects up to 4 authoritative URLs and scrapes full content for deep reading
- 4Iterates on focused sub-questions until the research log is comprehensive
- 5Synthesizes a structured report with abstract, background, core findings, and inline citations
