Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
A session-based Slack CLI for macOS that extracts authentication directly from the Slack desktop app's local storage. Supports reading channels and DMs, sending messages, searching workspace history, managing drafts, and checking unreads from the command line.
Auto-authenticates using the Slack desktop app's existing session token, so no API keys, bot tokens, or OAuth app configuration is needed.
When to use it
- Check unread Slack channels during a morning terminal session
- Send a message to a channel without switching to the Slack app
- Search workspace history for a past decision or deployment note
- Draft a reply for human review before it goes out
- Run a scheduled digest of key channels and thread activity
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

- 1Run `slk unread` to list channels with unread messages
- 2Run `slk read <channel>` for each channel that needs attention
- 3Use `slk thread <channel> <ts>` to expand relevant threads
- 4Compile messages into a summary grouped by channel
A structured summary of unread messages and thread replies across active channels
