What This Skill Does

Controls Jellyfin media server and connected smart TVs from the command line. Handles content search, smart episode resume, session management, and TV power across three backends: Home Assistant, direct LG webOS, or Android TV via ADB.

Combines TV wake, app launch, content lookup, and playback into a single command instead of requiring manual steps across a remote, TV UI, and Jellyfin web interface.

When to use it

  • Playing the next unplayed episode of a series on your TV with one command
  • Resuming a movie from the exact position where you stopped
  • Turning on a smart TV and launching Jellyfin automatically before playback
  • Adjusting volume or skipping to the next episode without touching a remote
  • Viewing Jellyfin library stats or triggering a library scan
