Or with the ClawHub CLI, for registry-managed skill folders outside a full OpenClaw workspace:
What This Skill Does
Queries multiple web archives to locate deleted, private, or missing YouTube videos by their 11-character video ID. Returns direct links to any archived copies, along with recovered metadata and comments where available, indicating which services hold the archive.
Checks multiple independent archive services in a single request instead of manually visiting GhostArchive, the Wayback Machine, and other sources one by one.
When to use it
- Recovering a deleted tutorial video you bookmarked
- Finding an archived copy of a removed music video
- Checking if a private video was captured before it was hidden
- Retrieving comments from a deleted video for citation or research
- Verifying whether a video that returns a 404 exists in any archive
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: Can you find the deleted video at youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ?
- 1Extract the 11-character ID 'dQw4w9WgXcQ' from the provided URL
- 2Call the API with videoid set to 'dQw4w9WgXcQ'
- 3Check the status field to confirm the ID is valid and not malformed
- 4Read verdict.human_friendly and inspect the video, metaonly, and comments boolean flags
- 5Iterate through the keys array and collect URLs from services where archived is true
