Version History

v1.0.3Feb 14, 2026 - Version note by skill developer:

Optimize SKILL.md with clearer triggers, workflow, operating modes, schedule policy, and safety guardrails.

What This Skill Does

Auto Skill Hunter scans recent session context for unresolved problems, searches ClawHub for relevant skills, and installs top-ranked candidates automatically. It runs on-demand with a specific query or on a recurring schedule for continuous capability growth.

Automates skill discovery based on actual session gaps rather than requiring manual browsing and curation on ClawHub.

When to use it

  • Installing skills for a task the current toolset can't handle
  • Reducing repeated session failures from missing capabilities
  • Running a scheduled patrol to keep skill coverage current
  • Previewing ranked candidates before committing to installs
  • Capping per-run installs to avoid bulk noise in stable environments

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: 'Find skills for tasks I keep failing at'

AGENT

  2. 2Search ClawHub using trending feeds and targeted query endpoints
  3. 3Score candidates by issue relevance, profile fit, and complementarity with installed skills
  4. 4Install top candidates with a runnable entry and self-test fallback
  5. 5Generate a concise recommendation report with strengths and selection reasons
OUTPUT
