What This Skill Does

AI bookkeeping agent for Mercury bank accounts. Pulls transactions, categorizes them using vendor rules and AI, and generates Excel workbooks with P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and transaction detail. Supports optional Stripe integration for exact gross revenue and fee tracking.

The rule system compounds across runs, so repeat vendors get categorized automatically without AI calls after initial setup, reaching ~95% auto-categorization after a few thousand transactions.

When to use it

  • Generating monthly P&L for a startup using Mercury
  • Auto-categorizing hundreds of bank transactions by vendor
  • Producing quarterly financial statements for tax preparation
  • Reconciling Stripe revenue and fees against Mercury deposits
  • Reviewing and correcting ambiguous transaction categories before closing books

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
