What This Skill Does

Magic Quill generates themed YAML spell mapping files for OpenClaw Spellbook by mapping popular skills to spell names drawn from a given topic, franchise, or URL. It first searches for real spell lists from the web, uses lore context as secondary style input, and falls back to heuristic name generation when references fail.

It dynamically discovers real spell lists from the web before falling back to heuristics, so themed mappings stay grounded in actual franchise lore rather than guessed names.

When to use it

  • Creating a Star Wars-themed spellbook mapping for agent sessions
  • Refreshing an existing theme with updated top-50 skill coverage
  • Generating Zelda spell names from a Wikipedia article
  • Mapping Cyberpunk 2077 lore to skill IDs via a custom output file
  • Building a DnD 5e spell mapping from live API-discovered spell names

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: Create a Zelda-themed spell mapping with top 50 skills and save to spells/zelda.yaml

AGENT
  1. 1Search for 'The Legend of Zelda spell list' and parse candidate reference URLs from DuckDuckGo results
  2. 2Fetch trending skill installs from skills.sh and ClawHub downloads API, then merge and deduplicate the target set
  3. 3Fetch discovered spell-list references and extract Zelda spell names
  4. 4Map each skill to a Zelda-themed spell name using Wikipedia lore as secondary context
  5. 5Write YAML to spells/zelda.yaml and validate with npm run validate:spells
OUTPUT

spells/zelda.yaml written with 50 skill-to-spell mappings and spell-list-references comment links
