Version History

Document cross-skill relationships in all SKILL.md files

What This Skill Does

Downloads source files and PDFs from ArXiv, then has the model read the full paper and write a structured summary in a chosen language. Supports single-paper and batch modes. Scripts handle only artifact retrieval; all reading and synthesis is model-driven.

Because the model reads full paper text rather than extracting abstract snippets, summaries capture method details and evaluation results that regex-based approaches miss.

When to use it

  • Summarizing a newly published ArXiv paper in your native language
  • Batch-downloading dozens of papers before a research session
  • Building a structured summary library for a literature review
  • Resuming an interrupted batch run without re-downloading completed papers
  • Processing papers from an upstream search step into per-paper summaries

Example Workflow

Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.

INPUT

User asks: summarize ArXiv paper 2602.00528 in English

AGENT
  1. 1Run download_arxiv_source.py for the paper directory
  2. 2Read metadata.md to get paper context
  3. 3Read extracted .tex files from source/source_extract/
  4. 4Write summary.md in English following the required section format
OUTPUT

summary.md with structured sections including Paper Snapshot, method details, evaluation results, and a 3-4 sentence conclusion
