What This Skill Does
Controls a MindReset Dot e-ink display device via the local quote0.js script and the Dot Developer Platform API. Supports pushing text and image content, checking device status, switching content items, and listing configured tasks. Requires DOT_API_KEY and DOT_DEVICE_ID credentials.
Wraps the Dot Open API into single CLI commands, removing the need to construct raw HTTP requests for each device action.
When to use it
- Push a one-time verification code to a Dot display
- Update a desk display with a custom PNG image card
- Check whether a Dot device is online before sending content
- Cycle to the next scheduled content item on a Dot display remotely
- List all text and image tasks configured on a device
Example Workflow
Here's how your AI assistant might use this skill in practice.
User asks: push a meeting reminder to my Dot display
- 1Run `node quote0.js status` to confirm the device is online
- 2Run `node quote0.js text --title 'Reminder' --message 'Standup at 10am' --refresh true` to push the content
- 3Verify the API returns a success response
Text content 'Standup at 10am' appears on the Dot device display
